The camera is an Axis 200+ (vintage 1998) from Axis Communications. The pink stripes in the upper left corner are some damage to the CCD from images of the rising sun. We now use a Rainbow E-II series auto-iris lens to manage the sun's image.
The steel structure of the LBT enclosure has been erected by Schuff Steel from Phoenix, Arizona. The general contractor was Hart Construction Management Services of Safford, Arizona. The LBT enclosure rises 167 feet (51 meters) above the ground. The site elevation is 10470 feet (3191 meters) above sea level.
