Enclosure Cranes

August 20, 1997

Question 1. (received 11 August 1997)
What is the length of the runways for the upper (rotating building) crane for the travel of the main bridge?

Answer 1. The length of main rails for the upper crane is 101 feet (not accurate for construction - only for estimating purposes). The main runway for the lower crane is 84 feet long.

While answering the question, we have realized that there was an omission in the drawings that were distributed with the Request for Proposals. The missing drawing is the ninth level plan; b210m010.dwg. A revised list of reference drawings for the Statement of Work is shown below.

Question 3. (received August 20, 1997, regarding proposal deadline)
Could the proposal deadline be extended by a few days? We are having problems related to delivery of some computer parts through UPS.

Answer 3. Yes, due to the general disruption of package and courier delivery by the UPS strike, we will agree to extend the proposal deadline for the proposals regarding Enclosure Cranes by four days. The new deadline will be August 26, 1997.
